Ajit leaves us all back

He was probably the most enterprising and falambuoyant of our classmates.Always loved life and made everyone around him love it too. A good number of friends changed from Berhampur to Cuttack during undergraduate days. He was born and brought up in Cuttack and he could have easily done it, but after the initial one and half years, he loved MKCG Medical College so much that he just stayed put.Always jovial we used to call him 'Ladoo'- I'm forgetting why we called him so.Though a man of strong likes and dislikes, Ajit never consciously hurt people. After doing his Diploma in Nuclear Medicine from BARC, Mumbai, he also did MNAMS from the same institute and later joined as a faculty member in AIIMS, New Delhi.He married Madhvi during the initial days in Delhi and had two sons Paritosh & Parivesh were born.Later he went to work in Geneva in IAEA which was probably a difficult period but the most cherished also. For the last couple of years he was working in Singapore General Hospital, Singapore. Ajit was staying alone in Singapore and Madhvi used to shuttle between Singapore and New Delhi. His elder son Paritosh with his wife stayed in UK while the younger one Parivesh worked in Mumbai.Ajit, as it appears, had a massive heart attack on Sunday/Monday and was admitted to hospital. He was also taken up for CABG and was apparently doing well after surgery. Unfortunately he collapsed and was put on intra-aortic baloon pump. Madhvi had reached Singapore yesterday. Ajit was declared today afternoon probaly after his sons reached Singapore.The news from Bidhu has shattered many. Many of us are speechless. Ajit was such a personality that he flashes so vividly in memory of every classmate. May his soul rest in peace and may God grant Madhvi and her family members enough courage to bear the untimely loss.
